Candace Lacina is most known for her work as a professional back-up and studio session singer. She got her first break working as a backup singer for country music sensation Shania Twain.
Influenced by her grandfather, a bluegrass musician, Candace wrote and released her first EP at age 14, which secured a major label development deal. She has performed with many other Canadian talents such as George Canyon, Tegan and Sara, Roch Voisine, and recently collaborated as a songwriter and backup singer for Don Amero. The most recent release in 2016 recieved 2 JUNO nominations. Candace continues to record and has focused on songwriting and recording for local artists as well as Disney, Sesame Street, Sochi Olympics and Universal Republic Records.
Candace is also the owner of a consulting business that supports the efforts of investors, charities and artists. She is most passionate about creating music, working as a live performance coach and supporting the efforts of local and international charities, especially those focused on Trauma, Mental Health and PTSD.
In 2017, she will be launching a new recording and studio project.
